Where is Romi?

Educational tool about new rights

About

This interactive learning application, which targets young people, is about the dangers of the New Right. The scene appears modern and youth-oriented, with a strong presence in the digital and social media world. However, the content of the New Right is not always easy to identify. Even young women are targeted. The profiles of the New Right activists are diverse and they are used specifically to promote their inhuman politics. Our project examines why people are interested in this scene and how they can turn away from it. We give practical tips, e.g. for dealing with friends who are in the right-wing scene.

Mobile First

"Where's Romi?" specifically targets a young audience and therefore uses the "mobile first" approach. Using this approach ensures that the site's content and functions can be optimally experienced on mobile devices. Mobile optimization enables young people to explore and learn about the dangers of the New Right in an interactive and playful way. By addressing the preferred usage habits of the target group, the project ensures effective communication and engagement with the topic.

Didactics

Interactive tools enable direct and personal engagement with the content. Through interactive elements such as games or simulations, users are actively involved and can explore the topic independently. This promotes deeper understanding and a stronger connection to the content being covered.

In addition, digital tools offer the possibility to present complex contexts in a vivid way. Through authenticity, videos or infographics, abstract concepts can be illustrated and made easier to understand. This facilitates the learning process and supports education about the background and dangers of right-wing extremist ideologies. This application also allows for a personalized experience and enables users to set their own pace. Each person can engage with the content according to their individual level of knowledge and interest. This flexibility promotes learner motivation and engagement.
